Our Time

So I have what some may call a bad habit. I call it our time. What am I talking about? Well, I take Tristan to bed with me every night. When my little guy starts rubbing his eyes and getting a little fussy I know it's time for night night. Most mommies would maybe give their little one a bottle, maybe rock them quietly in their room with the lights out or just hold them until they fall asleep then it's off to the crib. Not me. When Baba's gets to yawning I know it's getting close to my bedtime too (don't ask - it's what we've been calling him since he was two weeks old. I love my Baba's! :-) . I pick up my sugar and hold him close while walking through the hall to my bedroom. I've already turned out the bedroom light and turned on our bathroom light so there's just enough light for me to see. I grab our favorite fleece blanket and lay Tristan in the bed. I then snuggle up next to him and begin nursing Baba's. It's such an awesome time for us. I really believe there's no better experience for a mom than nursing her baby. Tristan automatically closes his eyes and a rests his little arm on my chest. I pull the blanket up over us and snuggle closely. We both fall asleep like this and snuggle for the rest of the night.

Some people might say it's a bad habit to get into now because he'll be in our bed for years. Well I say I don't care. I just love having my sugar pie there with me all night and sleep soundly knowing he's safe in my arms. I don't care if people say I'm spoiling my little guy because maybe that's what I want. I want Tristan to be spoiled rotten with love. He's going to know that no one loves him like Mommy and Daddy. My little guy is going to be allowed to crawl in bed with me for as long as he wants. I'm always in the mood for snuggling.

Of course Lana doesn't like it so much because she's been booted to the floor. Since we first got Lana shes slept in the bed with us - under the covers and everything. (See a pattern here? LOL) She was our baby before Tristan and doesn't really understand why we can't all sleep together. She tries to lay with Tristan as often as she can and loves to investigate him as much as we'll allow her. She's getting more and more used to Tristan and excepting that he's taken her place in the middle of the bed but she knows we still love her.

Tristan and I sleeping on the couch together when he was 24 days old. He was such a little guy!
Lana had to join us
Like I said Lana will try to lay with him whenever she gets a chance!
Morning Babas!
He loves our bed. Don't dare try and move him - he's not having it.
There's nothing more beautiful than a sleeping baby

Quick Layout

So I'm slowly learning more and more about digital scrap booking and it's been a lot of fun! This week we had a bonus and it was just a quick page but I learned to convert a picture into black and white and struggled over a text box. LOL Here is the finished product. Simple but I think it's cute. I've got a lot more learning to do - I'm still having to go back and double check how to do things. Hope you like it! I'll post week two's project as soon as I finish it! :-)

Celebrating Four Months!

So yesterday was Tristans 4 Month Birthday! I can't believe what a big boy he is! It's truly amazing to watch him learn every day and oh yes he learns something new every day! He has his four month check up soon and I can't wait to see just how much he really has grown! I'm not looking forward to the shots but that's another story. Anyways, last night we went out with my family to celebrate Tristan's latest accomplishments ;) We had a lot of fun even though Mommy was awfully sick and had to come straight home and get into bed. Oh man, I thought I had broken my fever and maybe I did for an hour but it quickly came back.

I was miserable last night - my sleeping schedule went like this yesterday: Woke up at 4:30 a.m. with fever and upchucking...that lasts until 7:30 a.m. when I decide that I should probably call in sick to work then I go back to sleep. Lloyd lets me stay in bed until noon when I stagger into the living room with our large comforter and bed head! (I know you wish I had a pic!) I lounge around on the couch trying to stay away from the baby but he's not having that then at 2:30 my fever spikes up to 100.00 and I get back in bed. I wake up at 4 p.m. covered in sweat believing I've broken my fever and hop on the computer to finish my scrap booking class. At 6 p.m. we get in the car to leave for Olive Garden and immediately my body starts aching. I manage to make it through dinner O.K. but once everyone is done Lloyd, Tristan and I head straight home. We get home at 7:30 p.m. and I make it to the bed about .5 seconds after we get in the door. At 8:30 Lloyd brings Tristan to me to eat and I pass out with Tristan nursing. I wake up at midnight to Lloyd taking Tristan away to his crib. I quickly pass out again. Despite waking up three times for about 20 minuets at a time I conked out until 9 a.m. when Tristan woke up. I am still tired and not feeling on top of my game. AND I have to be at work at one :( I probably shouldn't go in but I know I have too!

Anyways, that's enough complaining here's some cute ones from last night!

Mom and Dad

Neither one of them can quite figure out how to work their camera! ;)Mom enjoying her Mud Slide! Lol

Week One Scrapbooking!

So I started a digital scrap booking class (with the help of my super Digi-Scrap savvy sister Angel!) and it's been a lot of fun! With life being as busy as it is I don't often have time to sit at the computer for more than 15 mins but I took advantage of being sick (FINALLY broke my fever of 100.00 degrees about an hour ago!) to sneak in some class help. Of course I changed the layout a little bit because I just HAVE to be unique! I think it's pretty cute and I'm awfully proud of myself! ;) Tell me what you think!? There will be many more to come!
I also just wanted to note that the woman I am taking the class from has some AWESOME beginner, intermediate and expert level classes and most of them are self paced. They teach you a lot and are compatible for whatever version of Photoshop you have. You should definitely check out https://jessicasprague.com/ and once you've learned all the scrap booking tricks go to Angels Scrap booking Store to get all the cutest embellishments ect.! You'll have a lot of fun and they're soooo cute!

Popo's New Truck

About a month ago Popo (Lloyd's father) came into town, which is a rare occasion as he is a busy truck driver, so Lloyd and Tristan went to visit him. When they got there they realized they were in for a real treat. Popo got a really neat new truck and Tristan and Lloyd got to check it out in detail. It is really nice and we are glad Popo gets to drive around in it! It's a really pretty dark blue and has two full size beds so he gets to really relax when it's time to wind down. I'm sure once Tristan is older he'll think Popo's truck is really cool and appreciate it a little more! Here are some pictures of the fun outting!

The long view
Loving on Mr. Tristan
Popo and Tristan - can you see the resemblance? LOL
Don't take off with Tristan!

Tristan having fun

Okay so today I FINALLY figured out to put my camera pictures on my computer so now you guys no longer have to subject to the crappy phone pictures! So of course I will be posting a lot more now!

These pictures were taken about a week and a half ago. Tristan LOVES riding around on Daddy's sholders and just cracks up almost the whole time. Of course Lloyd holds on tight!

Look at me Mommy!Daddy Kisses For Tristan!
Is this not just TOO CUTE?
Hold on tight!

Another one of Tristans amazing accomplishments has been that he can now sit/stand in his ExerSaucer! At my baby shower extended family pitched in to get Tristan this activity center chair and Tristan just adores it. He hits all the toys and makes me sing to him, tries to get all of them in his mouth and even jumps up and down and rocks the whole thing. Once he gets in he knows he's in for a lot of fun and here is him enjoying that fun!

Well I like my toys but I like my hands too!
Preoccupied by Mommy
Trying to pull the toys into his mouth...he can't figure out why they won't reach!
Oh well! I'll just jump up and rock this thing!

Just chillin'
Well I've got lots more to share with you and I'll try to post again later this week!

Life As It Is....

Okay so I know it's been FOREVER since we've written and I'm sorry! Life has just been so much fun and busy lately. Here's just a little bit about what's been going on with us...

First Lloyd decided to take a month long break from work before starting his new job. As you know Lloyd worked at Lone Star Baby & Kids for the past twos years but recently decided that he should take a step in another direction. We made the decision that Lloyd would go ahead and stay at home with Tristan while he pursued other options. Daddy has had a lot of fun staying home with the little guy and getting to see the new things he learns everyday. We weren't really too concerned with searching for a new career for Lloyd when oppurtunity came a'knocking. I know some guys that live at the community I work at that work for TXU. They do outside sales and seem to be very happy with it (not to mention doing pretty well for themselves). They stopped by the office last Saturday and mentioned they were looking for some new guys. Well before I (or Lloyd!) knew it Lloyd had an interveiw schedule for that Monday. Well being the awsome guy Lloyd is of course he got the job and starts tomorrow! He's super excited to try something new and is going to give it his all! I'll update you on that as it comes in! ;)

Since Daddy has been home Tristan has made amazing progress! The latest accomplishment is that he is now a rolling over pro! Tristan has been rolling over for almost a month now. You can not lay him on his back for more than 45 seconds without him flipping over! At first he would just roll over and get frustrated because he couldn't keep his head up for very long. He would hold is up for about 2 minuets then his little muscles would give out. Well now he's mastered the head holding and even arches his back and looks around. He no longer falls face down and can stay up as long as he likes. He has even began scooting! He wants to crawl so bad he can taste it! He kind of rocks his body back and forth and kicks his legs. He can move around a little bit and generally ends up about 2 feet from where he started! We're soooo proud of our little boy and know he will be crawling before we know it! He's also gotten pretty good at sitting up. He still can't do it all on his own but with a little bit of help from Mommy and Daddy he can stay sitting for quite a long time!

Here are some cute ones Daddy got of Tristan since he's been home...

I wanna take off!
I just can't get going!
Scooted down a little too far!
Hello!

Another exicting thing that happened is Aunt Angel moved back home! We are soo excited Aunt Angel (my older sis) has come back to Dallas! She moved to South Carolina last year for a new job and really enjoyed it but Spartenburg is just no Dallas! So she convinced her bosses to let her work from home (Way to go Angel!) and got to come back! Tristan is happy Angel gets to see her nephew grow up! In fact we're going to see her tonight! I'll post those pictures later. =)

Also about a month and a half ago our Nephew Aiden turned a whopping 3 years old! He's getting soo big and starts Pre-K next year! We didn't get to make it to the actual birthday party so we stopped by the night before to give the little guy his gifts and captured some awsome pics! I have to share these with you!
