So where to begin!? I know it's been FOREVER since I wrote and A LOT of thing have happened since then! Here's a few recaps over the last month and a half!

1. TRISTAN STARTED CRAWLING! He started crawling actually two days after his six month birthday. He started out slow but has really gained some speed. He can get around the room in about one minute now! It is unbelievable how much he can do! We play a game where he chases me around the couch and he LOVES it! LOL He laughs the whole time!

2. WE MOVED!! On 11/15 we packed up (okay, so we actually started packing a lot earlier than that LOL!) and moved out of our tiny two bedroom apartment to a house in Garland! We now live off of Centerville and Northwest Highway (635 & Centerville) in a four bedroom, three bath, two living area HOME! We are soo happy to be living a house instead of an apartment! Lloyd and I even have a roof top patio attached to the master bedroom! Because we have an extra room my younger sister decided to move in with us so it's...Lloyd, Priscilla, Kathy, Kaci, Tristan, Lana, Foster and I! You can really say we are one big happy family LOL

3. WE HOSTED OUR FIRST THANKSGIVING! So as I said we moved in on 11/15 so we only had 12 days to get the house in order before the big day! Priscilla, Lloyd and I really had to hussel to get the tree up, Christmas decor out, boxes unpacked and furniture arranged but it all got done. We cooked about half of the turkey day lunch including ham, turkey, green bean casserole and stuffing then asked the other family members (both mine and Lloyd's sides!) to bring the rest. The feast was well worth the prep time and the visiting with family members wasn't to shabby either LOL The only problem I was SICK SICK SICK. AGAIN! I had a fever, cough, stuffy nose - the works. I was all off balance and I ended up stubbing and cutting my pinkie toe open on the fire place THEN I fell down the stairs after putting the baby to bed! I'm just thankful I wasn't holding him when I plummeted down those twisted stairs! Other than that the day was a hit and we were happy to host one great Thanksgiving Day lunch! :)

4. Lloyd shot his first TWO deer! So most of you don't know but Lloyd has taken on a new hobby of hunting! My dad is a hunter and the tradition goes waaaay back on my dads side of the family. He even took Kathy and I when we were younger and I must admit I've bagged a deer or two of my own. Anyway, my dad has a deer lease out in west Texas and during hunting season he's no where around on the weekends. At least no where around Garland! He's off at the lease living it up in is luxury travel trailer and up at the crack of dawn to sit in a stand and wait for a deer to walk by. This season Lloyd has began tagging along. He's really grown to love going and now we don't see him any where around on weekends! He is lucky that my mother (and aunt Pia!) are supportive enough to watch Mr.T on the weekends so he can go enjoy the great outdoors and male bonding pretty often! So the weekend before Thanksgiving Lloyd got not one but TWO deer on his Friday night hunt. He shot the first and before he knew it another crept up and he bagged that one too. He got a 6 point buck and a doe. I know some of you may not believe hunting is humane but we eat every part of the deer and the meat from these two will last us all or most of 2009 so I believe we do it the right way! Congratulate Lloyd on the big trophy next time you see him!

5. TRISTAN GOT HIS FIRST TOOTH! My little boy is growing up soooo fast! On the Sunday after Thanksgiving when I was still sick and little man was starting to get sick we had my mom come over so we could go clean out the apartment since we had it till the 30th. Before I left I checked his temp and it was 103! I quickly gave him a dose of Tylenol and tested my mom on how to handle the situation (LOL I couldn't help it) and rushed to get stuff done. On my way home my mom calls me and tells me she has a good idea why T had such a high fever...He had gotten his first tooth! It's the bottom left. It still has some growing in to do but it's comes out more everyday. It's soo cute...but also bittersweet. Pretty soon my baby won't be a baby anymore! Sometimes I can't wait to share Christmas's with a bright eyed "big boy" and others I just want to put a spell on him so he'll stay little forever! Aww too bad though it's inevitable - he's growing up! I wonder how long before the next...

6. And last but NOT least...you're never going to believe this BUT TRISTAN TOOK HIS FIRST STEPS! Even before he was crawling Tristan has been pulling himself up and standing. He looks so weird because he's soo little - you just think "that baby should not be standing!" But he loves it..it gives him a sense of control. He started by holding on to whatever he could for dear life and slowly started letting go. Then he would kind of guide himself down the couch holding on then sitting down crawling then standing up again. Now he lets go of whatever he was holding and stands for as long as he can. He then usually falls into a sitting position but on Friday he stayed up and went for it. He took two steps and fell. LOL You could tell he wanted to keep going and was kind of mad. He gets the concept now though and I am imagine he will be walking around the house within two months! This is just soo crazy - stop growing up little man!

I don't have many pics with me so here's a few Aunt Angel took when she baby sat him a few weeks ago. She bought him those candy stripped baby legs and diaper cover with the monogrammed T on the butt. LOL Are they not the most adorable thing you've ever seen!?!

Okay so there's some more that I don't quite have time for right now and I'm at work so I don't have pictures with me (except a few!) but I promise to change my layout SOON and keep you all updated more often!

Halloween Bash

Last night we had a BLAST at cousin Brayden's Halloween Bash! Yomaida did such a great job decorating the place and setting up a cute pumpkin patch for pictures! Tristan was the youngest kid there but he still throughly enjoyed himself! He was beyond excited to just be apart of it all. He wanted to be in the mix so bad! A few times I got a little nervous with all the big kids playing and scooped him up quick but he wasn't having it. He wanted back down on the floor so he could get back to playing! There were great snacks to enjoy, great conversation with family and other mommies and even personalizing pumpkins! Now Tristan didn't really participate in the decorating of the pumpkin...It was nap time and he was getting hungry so we went upstairs for a little quiet time. He would have ended up eating all of the little felt stick on letters anyways so it was probably for the best! All of the kids were dressed sooo cute! There was a princess, a football player, a monkey, a dinosar, Tristan was a little devil - even The Hulk and Tinkerbell showed up! Overall it was a blast! We look forward to getting together with everyone soon! We are also looking forward to doing some light trick or treating at some close realitives houses! We will be sure to take some good pictures on Halloween night too!

Look at my little devil!

Hmm...these pumpkins look good! I think he was trying to bite them!

Lloyd with our little devil and cousin Aaron!

Makayla was such a little sweetie!

Cousin Aaron monkeying around! ;)

Brayden James as a dinosuar! In true dino fashion he had just finished some gold fish!

Cousin Aiden WAS The Hulk but he decided he didn't like the gloves and mask!

Tristan decorating his pumpkin!

With a little help from daddy!

The final product...it's kind of hard to get a whole pumpkin in one picture!

Cousin Aaron is such a QT!

I love being a mommy! :)

I just wanted to take a minute and let you all know how much my family means to me. I have two of the best guys in the world to share my days with and I love them more than life itself. I just wanted to share with you some of the reasons why I love doing what I do! :)

Top 10 Reasons Why I Love Being A Mommy!

10. That AMAZING smile thats fills the room the minute I walk into it.
9. The fact that I get all the kisses and cuddles whenever I want!
8. How everyone oohs and ahhs at what a gorgeous (and healthy!) baby boy we have!
7. Getting to say that I am the sole provider of my little boys meals!
6. The AMAZING bonding that comes with being the sole provider my sugar pulm.
5. Getting to shop for the most adorable baby things!
4. Getting to participate in the fun mommy and me activities and play groups!
3. Dressing little man however I want! (cause I know it won't last long!)
2. Wondering about and planning Tristans future. (He's going to be a lawyer! ;-)
1. Just being with my little man. I love him more than anything in this life and I would do anything for him. Tristan alone is the real reason I love being a mommy.

Little man sits up!

So Tristan has ventured on to the next step! On Thursday I was at home with T and he (all my himself!) pushed himself up with his arms into the sitting position. It didn't last long and he quickly fell back to the ground on his stomach. He did that about four times and got tired of it! The next day Lloyd called me and told me he had mastered sitting! He once again had pushed himself up into the sitting position and I guessed figured out how to balance himself and stay that way. At first he would slide a little but quickly learned he could use his arm to prop himself and stay up! He's SUCH a smart little guy! By that night he was sitting for 30 minutes plus! Actually Priscilla and I watched a movie and he sat and played for about an hour! He can now sit for as long as he would like. He even rolls around and plays then sits up to play then it's back to rolling then sitting up again! I would just like to say that I am awfully proud of my Baba's and I can't believe how fast he learns things! I don't even know where this came from! He never showed any signs of sitting before! He just decided he was going to do it and did it! He is deffinately going to be crawling before the end of the month. He already gets on his hands and knees and moves around. He knows how to use his hands to pull himself but he just doesn't get the leg thing yet! Looks like the crawling will be before that first tooth!

Here's the big boy himself!

R.I.P. MICHAEL J. WILILAMS

I wanted to ask everyone to pray for Michael Williams’s family.

On October 3 Michael never woke up. He had had a good night with my little sister and gone to sleep in her room. They were unable to wake him the next morning. A young life was lost and it was unnecessary.

We lost an amazing friend and we will never get him back. It's not fair that his life was ended before it should have and it breaks my heart to even think about it.His family needs support and prayers more than ever now. His poor mother and father are heart broken - they lost their little boy. All you mommies out there know that you can't even fathom what it is like to loose your child. When I saw his mothers cries I wanted to go to sleep forever myself. .

PLEASE pray for them. If you knew Michael and can help in ANY way please don't hesitate.R.I.P. Michael Williams 11.22.88 - 10.03.08 we love you

Fun Day At The Zoo!

On Friday we had a fun filled day at the zoo! I know it's a bit of a late update but I misplaced my camera until this morning so I had no choice. LOL I know silly silly me. Anyways, my company had an event (quarterly award ceremony) from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dallas Zoo that yesterday so I figured it was a great opportunity to have a fun day at the zoo with my favorite two guys! Lloyd took the day off (which isn't hard to do with your Father-in-law as your boss! ;) and met me up there with Mr.T at 3! I was super excited all day and couldn't wait to see if my little guy was at all interested in the animals. He did have a little fun but I think he could have had the same amount of fun at home. LOL Nonetheless Mommy and Daddy had a bunch of fun and a ton of pictures! At the last minute a friend of ours (Melanie) and her son decided to join us! I was glad they got to come along! We hadn't seen her in awhile so it was good to catch up and gaze at the amazing animals! Now I kind of went picture crazy so you will have to excuse me! We got some great shots though!

Catching a bite to eat before hitting the habitats! LOL

MMMM...is that burger good Lloyd?

Tristan decided that his bib would be good enough for him! Melanie and Jackson - We love you guys!
That's one yummy hot dog!
Mommy gave big boy his meal
Then it was off to see the birds! There weren't that many for some reason but we did get to see the Eagles. They really are beautiful. These pictures don't do them justice. This guy's beak was quite large! His head was about the size of a soft ball!
This Eagle (some species I don't remember the name of!) had a very weird head. He kept spreading his wings and I wanted a picture of it sooo bad! Unfortunately I am not that skilled so this was the best picture I was able to get!
Baba's loves turtles! Okay so maybe we love them for him. LOL His room is full of turtles - in fact his bedding set is called Turtle Bay! Anyways, they had a lot of turtles and even a big statue of one. Tristan and Daddy had a lot of fun posing on this one!
Smile for the camera!
One of these guys was super fast! He kept going all over the place! The others just kinda laid around. LOL
Look at the turtles Tristan!
Gotta have his Momma!
The next stop was the Tigers. They were locked up pretty tight so I wasn't able to get any close ups but there was one gorgeous female tiger laying in the grass. She got up and starting pacing when we were there so we got a little nervous! We did read up on them and enjoyed all the interesting facts about this amazing animal. Lloyd got a little frisky with model! LOL
Look at that claw!

The monkeys were around the corner from the Tigers. Pictures were really hard to get but we got an AWESOME video of the monkeys chasing birds! Once I figure out how to load a video on here I will add it. They were funny little guys!

Behind bars (I felt kinda bad for the long limbed guys!)
They did have an elephant too but she was by herself. We didn't get to see her for very long because they were bringing her in for some reason. Maybe that's where all the hefalumps were!
The Rhinos were very photogenic. They were like seriously posing for people - it was so funny. They would like put one foot in front of the other and stop and stand there while people took pictures! They were soo big and their horns were kind of scary!
They were the only animal Tristan showed interest in. He screamed at them - I think he wanted to play with em'! I don't think that would have been a very good idea so we just let him peer from far away! :)
The cheetah was apparently having a leisure day. After all it was Friday! He was gorgeous but also a little scary!
I thought it was kinda funny that they put the cheetah next to all the deer and stuff! This guy was sleeping really oddly. I thought it was an interesting pose so I had to get a shot!
Another deer looking thing I don't know the name of!
These guys were awfully smelly! Not to easy on the eyes either. LOL They were scoffing and scraping the feet in the dirt! We sang the song from The Lion King to them because they reminded us of Pumba!
Another sculpture! This one was just as ugly as the creature itself!
I put this hat on him because I was worried he was going to get over heated! I got an ice water when we got there and I would dip the hat in there every so often and put it back on his head. At first he didn't like it but then he got to were he wanted me to keep it super cold! It made me feel better about taking him out in the semi heat. LOL He is so cute in hats!
Heading out after a long day of fun!

Of course we had to stop by the gift shop on our way out and grab a picture frame so we can get one of these great shots and cherish it forever! We had such a great time and can't wait to go back - hopefully when it's a little cooler outside. I really want to go to the Aquarium next time but we'll save that for another adventure!
